Black Friday – Won’t Be So Black For Christmas 2009

Filed under: Christmas Ideas,Saving Money — Administrator @ 9:40 am

Today is the day where we will see the Christmas shopping season hit full swing, with many people having the day off which will increase the number of sales across retail outlets world-wide. Already we have seen many shops open their doors bright and early waiting for the masses to arrive looking for Christmas presents and deals. Although most people don’t get paid until the end of the month there are still a good number that have either been paid today or a few days before which entices customers across the country to venture out with their shopping lists.

The recession has hit the world hard but early expectations are that Black Friday will be an occasion where retail sales will go through the roof.

We also see Cyber Monday soon approaching which is a term that is given to sales made online. As sales online have increased substantially over the years are we expecting to see a massive swing in those that buy in the high street to those that buy from the comfort of their own home?

The chances are more and more people will turn to the online world in order to beat the crowds and hassle of having to find the bargains on offer in-stores. The benefits of online shopping are that deals and discounts are clearly displayed to give the customer an easy temptation to delve further into the website, and with cash back and voucher code deals there is much more of a money saving experience to be had.

So what will you be doing this weekend, heading into the high-street or going online to get your gifts?
